A dignified farewell ceremony was held at the Abbottabad Press Club on Saturday in honor of the retired SP Circle Cantt and SP Investigation Department from the Police Department. In which tribute was paid to the services of Raja Mehboob and Sardar Muhammad Jahangir. While Circle DSP Sardar Muhammad Shaheen was also present on this occasion. In the ceremony, SP retired Raja Mehboob and SP retired Sardar Muhammad Jahangir, Press Club President Sardar Naveed Alam, General Secretary Raja Munir Khan, Assistant Secretary General PFUJ Muhammad Shahid Chaudhry, former Press Club President Sardar Shafiq Ahmed, former General Secretaries AUJ Naveed Akram Abbasi, Adil Abbasi and others addressed. The speakers highlighted the excellent services of both police officers for the citizens during their service. The Press Club President said that both officers have earned a good name, and as a reward, they were invited to the Abbottabad Press Club. He further said that during their posting, they always gave respect to the citizens. And played a historic role in establishing law and order in Abbottabad which will always be remembered. SP retired Sardar Muhammad Jahangir, Raja Mehboob said that wherever they performed duty, including Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, and Kohistan, they found the media of Abbottabad to be the most unique everywhere and also acknowledged it everywhere. He said that from the beginning of their job as SHOs, for forty years and until the completion of their service tenure, the relationship with the journalists of Abbottabad remained intact. He said that the Abbottabad Press Club has maintained its traditions and honored them at the end of their service, for which they are heartily thankful. He said that the journalists of Abbottabad have truly played the role of the fourth pillar of the state. And in any delicate situation, by demonstrating wisdom and intellect, in establishing peace and connecting stakeholders, journalists have always fulfilled their responsibility by being at the forefront. At the end of the ceremony, commemorative shields were also presented to both officers by the Abbottabad Press Club.
