Police in a swift operation on Monday arrested an accused involved in a sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl in Sial Colony of Mirpurkhas.
According to a police report, following social media reports, SSP Mirpurkhas Shabbir Ahmed Sethar took immediate notice and directed the relevant police officials to apprehend the suspect.
Following the SSP’s directives, Inspector Faisal Shafi Memon heading a police team arrested accused, identified as Ghulam Nabi Langhai. A case has been registered against him at the Women’s Police Station, and further investigation has been started.
The SSP reaffirmed the police’s commitment to ensuring justice for the victim and stressed that no leniency would be shown to perpetrators of such heinous crimes.
