Action against elements involved in stolen vehicles, forged documents likely

KARACHI: A memorandum of understanding has been signed between Sindh Excise and Sindh Police Departments to take action against elements involved in stolen vehicles, forged documents and vehicles plying without transfer.

The MoU was signed in the office of Director General Excise Sindh. On behalf of Excise Department Sindh, Director Admin Excise and Taxation Sindh Waheed Sheikh and on behalf of Sindh Police signed by DIGP IT Captain (Rtd) Parvez Ahmed Chandio.

Secretary Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department Atif Rehman and Director General Aurangzeb Panhoor were also present in the event. Under this MoU both the departments will be able to share the data of vehicles plying across the province with the help of modern technology while it will be easy to take action against vehicles plying on fake documents and vehicles violating the law.

Chawla welcomed the signing of the memorandum of understanding between Excise and Taxation Sindh Department and Sindh Police. He said that the Government of Sindh was developing the Sindh Excise Department on modern lines with the aim of providing better facilities to the people of Sindh.
