Minister for Technical Education and Food Javed Iqbal Budhanvi issued a stern warning that some elements are attempting to weaken the Pakistan Army through baseless criticism, an act he described as directly benefiting enemy forces and tantamount to an attack on the country’s sovereignty.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, the minister stressed that a strong defense is the fundamental basis of any independent and sovereign state. He warned that nations that neglect their military strength eventually fall prey to external pressure and subjugation.

Mr. Budhanvi described the army as more than just an institution, calling it “a strong shield for the state” that protects not only the nation’s borders but also its dignity and sovereignty.

He added that if the nation’s defense is weakened, its natural resources, diplomatic standing, economic projects, and development initiatives could prove insufficient to protect the public.

The minister said that for countries with weak defense capabilities, freedom often remains “limited to paper” as they become entangled in foreign influence. He emphasized that for a nation like Pakistan, which faces continuous security challenges, a strong and organized army is indispensable.

Recalling historical events, Mr. Budhanvi highlighted that the Pakistan Army has repeatedly defended the country with bravery and sacrifice. He mentioned that when India committed aggression in Kashmir, the armed forces not only repelled the enemy’s attacks but also inflicted heavy losses, earning Pakistan’s defense prestige international acclaim.

Addressing the nation’s youth, he urged them to remain vigilant against enemy propaganda and misleading elements aiming to create chaos to achieve their “nefarious objectives.” He argued that any individual or group conspiring against the army cannot be considered a well-wisher of the nation.

The minister claimed that India is currently attempting to spread unrest in Pakistan through various means, but affirmed that the Pakistani nation and its armed forces are united to counter every threat.

Javed Iqbal Budhanvi concluded that for Pakistan to remain “invincible and stable,” the cooperation of every citizen with the armed forces is essential. He called on the public to take pride in their army and unite to thwart enemy conspiracies, stating, “We stand shoulder to shoulder with our army and will protect this country and the state.”
