Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari strongly condemned the arrest of the party’s Dera Ismail Khan District President, Malik Farhan Afzal, calling it political revenge. He demanded Afzal’s immediate release.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, led by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, took these steps after the Peoples Party’s efforts to “save” the province.
He criticized the provincial government for not helping the victims of the Swat tragedy. The PPP leader claimed that his party raised its voice for the victims and is now being avenged by harassing its workers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
