AVLC decides to launch Victim Support Service Desk

KARACHI:Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell (AVLC) of Sindh police on Thursday decided to introduce Victim Support Service Disk in Karachi to resolve complaints and difficulties of victims of robbery and steals.

The decision was taken by SSP AVLC Arif Aslam Rao during a meeting with the plaintiffs in car theft cases at his office. SSP AVLC informed the citizens that in connection with car theft cases, AVLC teams this month arrested suspects involved in various car theft gangs in raids in Karachi and outside the city. Various stolen and snatched vehicles have been recovered.

In this regard, the SSP listened to the grievances of the citizens and ordered redress on the spot. He also ordered the officials to get in touch with complainants through Victim Support Service. He said during the meeting the meeting that information of the recovered vehicles should be shared with all the plaintiffs immediately.

In case of recovery of the vehicle, the complainant should be assisted in completing all the legal proceedings from the concerned esteemed courts as soon as possible, the SSP said. On the occasion, the citizens appreciated the initiative of SSP AVLC and assured all possible cooperation.
