Awami Workers Party protests in Nasirabad against US invasion of Venezuela and abduction of president

A protest was held in Nasirabad on the central appeal of the Awami Workers Party against the US invasion of Venezuela and the abduction of President Nicolás Maduro.

The demonstration in Nasirabad was organized on Sunday by the Awami Workers Party and Nari Jamhoori Mahaz (Women’s Democratic Front) Qambar Shahdadkot as part of a nationwide series of protests. Participants marched from Nonari Mohalla to the Nasirabad Sachal Press Club to express their condemnation against US aggression.

Addressing the gathering, District General Secretary Nazir Channa and Nari Jamhoori Mahaz leader Fauzia Seengar, along with other speakers Riaz Phulpoto and Mustafa Nonari, claimed that the US considers its neighboring countries its personal fiefdom.

They asserted that free and sovereign countries are being attacked for their oil and mineral resources, and listed Panama, Guatemala, Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, and Iran as previous targets of severe US plunder.

The leaders said that the “bully US” is destroying global peace to maintain its supremacy and called on oppressed nations to unite against such open aggression. They also drew a parallel to local issues, adding, “We also have to save our resources, land, and rivers.”

Concluding their remarks, the speakers declared that history is a witness to the victory of truth and justice, and said that although an oppressor may tyrannize temporarily, history has always sided with the oppressed.
