QUETTA: Balochistan Sports Alliance demands for conducting “34th National Games, 2023” through Sports Associations registered with Balochistan Sports Board instead of Balochistan Olympic Association.
This and similar other demands were made in a protest demonstration held outside Quetta Press Club under the aegis of Balochistan Sports Alliance here on Tuesday. Addressing the protest demonstration, speakers said that merit has completely been violated while constituting “Management Committee” for 34th National Games, 2023 which can be judged from the fact that a grade-17 officer of Services and General Administration Department has also been made the member of “Management Committee” for the 34th National Games, hence, the “Management Committee” needs to be reviewed by incorporating the names of former and present national and international players of different disciplines of sports, adding that 18 members of the Management Committee do not belong to Balochistan, therefore, number of members from outside of the province be curtailed by including the names of members from Balochistan province.
