QUETTA:Customs Quetta on Monday claimed to have seized foreign gears amounting to Rs 20 million in an operation conducted at Airport Road.
According to Sami-ul-Haq, Director Customs Intelligence, the staff of Customs Quetta foiled a bid to smuggle foreign gears through a container at Airport Road.
He said seized gears included submersible, solar panels and jackets. The Director Customs Intelligence said that an air-conditioned container, being used for smuggling, was also seized. He said smugglers wanted to smuggle foreign gears from Islamabad to Quetta, however, timely action of Customs Intelligence foiled the bid of smuggling.
