A fourth-grade student narrowly escaped an attempted kidnapping in Shikarpur on Tuesday.
According to a police report on Tuesday, the boy, identified as Zain, son of Naveed Ahmed Soomro, was on his way to school when a kidnapper grabbed him near the Meer Jo Padhar area. The assailant restrained the child and attempted to take him to an unknown location.
The attempt was foiled after the boy shouted for help, alerting nearby laborers. The kidnapper fled the scene, leaving the child unharmed. Local police are searching for the suspect, who remains unidentified. No First Information Report (FIR) was registered as of late Tuesday, and no arrests have been made.
