249,276 vaccinated against COVID in KP

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:The process to vaccinate people against coronavirus continued in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP) on Tuesday and a total of 249,276 people have completed their vaccination procedure.

According to details, the Health Department said 61,974 health workers had been administered the first dose of Sinopharm vaccine while 44,251 had taken their second jab of the vaccine while 8,744 health workers have taken the first jab of Sinovac in the province.

The Health Department further said that 1124 health workers have also taken their second jab of Sinovac vaccine against COVID-19. A total of 250,892 senior citizens have been administered the first jab of Sinopharm while 69,588 senior people have taken their second dose of the same vaccine.

A total of 13,257 senior citizens have also been administered the first dose of Cansino vaccine, the report said, adding 218,838 senior citizens have taken the first jab of Sinovac vaccine. 21056 senior citizens have completed their procedure of vaccination by taking the second jab of Sinovav. A total of 2851 health workers have been administered the first jab of AstraZeneca while among senior citizens 112740 have taken their first jab of AstraZeneca.

Prof Dr Azam Mushtaq chosen for gold model

Punjab:Quaid-e-Azam Medical College (QMC) and Allied Institution Employees (AIE) Bahawalpur has recommended gold medal for Professor Dr Azam Mushtaq, Professor of Pulmonology, for contributing the best services for COVID-19 patients admitted to the hospital.

According to a notification issued by the hospital, he would be awarded during a ceremony scheduled on 5th of June at auditorium of Quaid-e-Azam Medical College, Bahawalpur. Mushtaq hails from Multan and was a former head of Pulmonology department of Nishtar hospital.

He offered a number of different services and treatments such as Blood Gas Analysis, Bronchial Biopsy, Bronchial Thermoplasty (Severe Asthma Treatment), Diabetes Management, Diagnostic Testing, Lung Biopsy, Lung Transplant, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Spirometry and Thyroid Treatment.

Balochistan health dept spilt into two parts

QUETTA:Government of Balochistan has bifurcated the existing Health Department into two separate administrative departments and constituted “Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department” and “Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department”, according to a notification issued by the Government of Balochistan, Services and General Administration Department on June 01, 2021.

RPSC is a revolutionary initiative, says DC Basra

MANDI BAHAUDDIN:Deputy Commissioner Tariq Ali Basra said Tuesday that Revenue Public Service Court (RPSC) is a human-friendly and revolutionary initiative of Chief Minister Punjab, where complex revenue related issues are resolved.

Presiding over a meeting at District Council Hall, DC Basra stated that from the Deputy Commissioner to Patwari, all the revenue staff was available at Public Service Court for the convenience of the people.

“From the issue of record accuracy, execution of transfers, income certificate, inspection record, registry, issuance of domicile and other issues related to revenue are easily resolved under one building.” This is the reason why a large number of people have expressed their full confidence in this service court, he added.

Basra said that a complete record of applications was submitted in open court which were kept odd strict monitoring. Similarly, Service courts have also been set up in Phalia and Malikwal talukas. People who submitted their petitions regarding their various problems were immediately taken up by the staff in the presence of the officers. Pleas are resolved within two days.

Usman Buzdar condemn attack on FC personal

Punjab:Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has strongly condemned terrorist attacks on the Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel in Quetta and Turbat.

In a statement today, the CM paid tribute to the brave sons for foiling the nefarious designs of terrorists and termed them heroes of the nation. The martyred have sacrificed their lives for maintaining peace in the country, he said and emphasized that terrorists could not weaken the strong commitment of the nation as it was fully united to eradicate the menace of terrorism. The CM extended sympathies to the heirs and prayed for the early recovery of the injured.

Mahmood Khan inaugurates various projects in Haripur

Peshawar:Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan during his visit to Haripur Tuesday inaugurated various developmental projects worth billions of rupees in the district.

Federal Minister Umar Ayub Khan, Provincial Minister Akbar Ayub Khan, Ex- Provincial Minister Yousaf Ayub Khan and other local PTI leaders were also present.

The projects inaugurated by the Chief Minister were included 25-KM long Haripur Bypass road completed at a cost of Rs.4.9 billion, 34-KM long Lora Chowk to Kohala Bala road Project completed with the cost of Rs. 2.4 billion, Rehabilitation and re-modeling of Government Pilot Girls High school Haripur City at the cost of Rs. 174 million and dualization of 22-KM Hattar-Haripur Road being completed at the cost of Rs. 3.4 billion.

The chief minister also performed ground breaking of Khanpur to Karakurram Highway Road Project which would be completed with the estimated cost of Rs.479 million.

Talking to media on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that incumbent government was going all out to materialize the Prime Minister’s vision for establishing a welfare state adding that Sehat Card Plus was a practical step of the provincial government in that direction.

He said that under the scheme all the CNIC holders of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa could get free treatment facilities from empanelled government and private hospitals across the country and added that so far thousands of people have got this facility after its extension to 100% population of the province. “Efforts are also underway to provide maximum facilities to people in other social sectors and multiple steps have already been taken to this end,” he added.

The Chief Minister on the occasion also announced the establishment of a new medical college in district Haripur. He also announced a grant of Rs. 5.00 million for District Bar Haripur and Rs. 1.5 million for Ghazi Bar Association and said that his government was committed to give relief to each and every sector of the society.

He said that the provincial government was making every possible effort to meet the expectations of general public and all the promises made to people was being fulfilled one by one. Mahmood Khan said that developmental schemes of vital importance have been identified to be included in the next fiscal budget and would be completed within the next two years.

He said special focus was being given to boosting industrial sector of the province to provide employment opportunities to people adding that work was in full swing on numerous industrial zones in the province. Public exchequer would be spent on public which is the manifesto of PTI government. He urged the media to play its positive role in creating awareness amongst the public regarding government’s initiatives taken in the public interest.

Earlier, representative delegations of local lawyers, traders, industrialists, Islamic scholars and PTI workers called on the Chief Minister and discussed the issues of their respective sectors. The Chief Minister assured the delegates to resolve their issues on priority. The Chief Minister also administered an oath to newly elected cabinets of Anjuman Tajaran district Haripur, PTI Women Wing and Youth Wing of district Haripur.

CM Punjab’s initiative “Service at your doorstep” lauded

MANDI BAHAUDDIN:On the direction of Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Mandi Bahauddin Imtiaz Ali Baig along with CO Municipal Committee Muhammad Fayyaz reviewed a cleanup drive in Gorha Mohalla of the city.

On this occasion, he said that as per the directive of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, the program “Service at your door step” had been launched from May 27. He said that under this, garbage in urban areas were being identified and lifted. Similarly, in the second week, drainage system would be cleaned, while in the third week, all the government offices, hospitals, and schools would be cleaned and necessary buildings would be painted.

He said that the objective of this program was to make service delivery better and more efficient for the service of the people. The government’s priority was to make the people ideal in terms of service and welfare. No negligence would be tolerated in resolving public issues.

He said that responsibility in an efficient manner would be the success. Similarly, Assistant Commissioner Malakwal Usman Ghani along with CO Municipal Committee Bashir Tarar checked the sanitation and development schemes in Malakwal with reference to “Service at your doorstep”.

On this occasion, he said that “service at your doorstep” is a revolutionary initiative, and the Chief Minister of Punjab himself was monitoring the program. He said that the initiative was aimed at improving the public services of various departments including revenue, police and local bodies.

Expressing their views on the process of cleaning at various places, the citizens said that the Punjab government, especially Punjab Chief Minister’s “Service at Your Doorstep” program was a great initiative that truly reflected such a process of cleanliness.

Ghani said that an application had also been introduced for monitoring the Punjab government program. The performance of officers will be uploaded on portal while citizens would also be able to give their feedback.
