Assistant Commissioner Chaudhry Rab Nawaz on Wednesday inspected brick kilns in Okara district, aimed at assessing violations of the smog control policy. The action was part of the ongoing anti-smog campaign, resulting in heavy fines being imposed on kiln owners who violated SOPs.

During these inspections, Nawaz emphasized the undeniable negative effects of smog on public health and urged kiln owners to follow government directives. He reiterated the commitment to take strict action against those contributing to environmental pollution.

The Assistant Commissioner specifically instructed the kiln owners to implement zigzag technology and to avoid using substandard materials to reduce pollution levels. He warned that strict legal action would be taken against repeat violators.
