Coal Miner Killed in Landslide Near Duki

A coal miner died after being trapped in a landslide at a privately operated coal mine in Duki district of Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province, rescue officials said on Monday.

Rescue sources said the victim, identified as Mir Wali, was recovered from debris following the incident and his body was later transferred to Civil Hospital Duki.

After completion of necessary medico-legal formalities, the body was handed over to the family of the deceased.

Authorities said that a probe into the incident had been launched and further investigation was underway to determine the circumstances leading to the fatal landslide.
