Commissioner Sukkur Orders Establishment of Mobile Relief Camps Along Indus River

Commissioner Sukkur, Abid Saleem Qureshi, has ordered the establishment of mobile relief centers along the Indus River. These centers, to be set up at designated vacant locations along the riverbanks, will provide integrated facilities to displaced people.

Commissioner Qureshi directed all Deputy Commissioners and Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) to ensure these integrated facilities include police posts, medical aid centers, livestock areas, and rescue boats with Population Welfare Department personnel. The aim is to enhance inter-agency collaboration and streamline relief distribution.

Deputy Commissioners of Sukkur, Ghotki, and Khairpur districts informed the Commissioner that preparations at relief sites are almost complete. Assistant Commissioners confirmed the availability of mobile medical services, medical and veterinary treatment centers, sanitation facilities at schools and designated shelters, and the provision of necessary supplies. These supplies include plastic mats, cooking utensils, mosquito nets, and other essential items at various locations.
