Concern over surveillance of phones of IIOJK leaders, journalists

Srinagar, July 25, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JKCSF) has expressed serious concern over the reported surveillance of phones of political leaders, journalists, activists, businessmen and others in the territory

The JKCSF Chairman, Abdul Qayoom Wani in a statement issued in Srinagar said, phone is privacy and imploring surveillance on this kind of exclusive privacy is the open violation of fundamental rights of a community and its individuals.

He said, such surveillance over the phones of Kashmiri political and religious leaders, activists and journalists as reported must be ended and these leaders should be allowed to speak in a free and fair atmosphere.
