NAUNDERO: Intensity of surging crime rate could be judged from this fact that a cop Qasim Channo was robbed of his official gun and motorcycle on a link road near Saidu Dero here on Saturday.
On hearing the news police rushed to the area to find the armed accused and help their brother but returned empty handed. SHO Naundero police station Shahid Memon said that they followed the footprints which led them to nearby Mirwah village without further trace hence they returned without arresting the accused criminals or recovery. He said the cop was made captive and looted of all his belongings as well. He said the robbers were also riding a bike and they disappeared after committing the crime.
It must be mentioned here that Naundero police have so failed to track down the criminals who attacked Hindu trader Chandu Mal, injured him and deprived him of Rs6.5 lac few days ago and they have also been unable to recover stolen goods of several residents but despite all crimes honest and hardworking SHO has not so far been posted in the hometown of Bhutto leaders for which the residents continue to curse the rulers.
