Customs foils bid to smuggle foreign currency to Afghanistan

CHAMAN: Collectorate of Customs Balochistan claims to have foiled a bid to smuggle foreign currency to Afghanistan in a joint operation conducted in collaboration with Pak-Army at Chaman Gate along Pak-Afghan border in district Chaman of Balochistan province on Tuesday.

According to a statement issued by the spokesperson for Collectorate of Customs Balochistan, foreign currency worth millions of rupees, including more than one lac dollors and millions of Pakistani rupees, which was to be smuggled to Afghanistan, was seized in a joint operation conducted by the staff of Customs Chaman in collaboration with Pak-Army at Chaman Gate along Pak-Afghan border.

The operation was conducted by the staff of Customs Chaman under the supervision of Additional Collector Enforcement, Moin Afzal Ali and Additional Collector, Collectorate of Customs Balochistan, Aftabullah Shah in compliance with the directives of Chief Collector, Collectorate of Customs Balochistan Abdul Qadir Memon.
