DC annoyed as RO plants remain non-functional in Sehwan

Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro Ghazanfar Ali Qadri expressed annoyance over non-functioning of Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants in Sehwan and ordered activating all of them immediately.

According to a report from DC office today, Qadri visited Sehwan where convened a meeting at the DC Camp Office in to review ongoing development projects in the Sehwan taluka. Officials from the highways, education works, buildings, public health, and irrigation departments, along with assistant engineers, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, departmental representatives briefed the DC on the progress of development works in Sehwan. However, the Executive Engineer of the Public Health Department, Ali Raza Mangi, was absent. DC Qadri voiced his concern over the slow pace of work and the use of substandard materials in ongoing projects.

Addressing the assistant executive engineer of the Public Health Department, the DC directed that all closed RO plants in Sehwan and its adjoining areas be made operational without delay. Furthermore, he instructed the department to submit a comprehensive report on development projects within one month.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, DC Jamshoro remarked that the Public Health Department had failed to adequately address the provision of clean drinking water in Sehwan. He warned that strict action would be taken against officials if the issues were not resolved within the given timeframe.
