Delegation Meets Mohsin Naqvi, Discusses Promotion of Table Tennis

The Sindh Tennis Association (STA) has commended the recent meeting between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF), and proposed that tennis courts be constructed within or around cricket stadiums in various cities across the country. STA President Gulzar Feroz stated that the first tennis court should be built alongside the National Stadium Karachi to promote both cricket and tennis equally. This has been termed a significant step towards promoting tennis nationwide. The collaboration between PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and PTF President Asim ul Haq Qureshi has been widely appreciated within the tennis community.

The meeting discussed leveraging PCB’s developmental strategies for cricket to promote tennis in Pakistan. Reflecting the sentiments of the Pakistani tennis community, STA President Gulzar Feroz and Senior Vice President Muhammad Khalid Rehmani welcomed the initiative.

Feroz suggested constructing tennis facilities alongside cricket stadiums in several cities of Pakistan to foster the development of both sports. He proposed Karachi’s National Stadium as a prime location for the first joint facility.
