Malakand: The district administration Lower Dir has taken stern action against the violators of government approved daily commodities’ rates and booked a number of shopkeepers on charge of illegal price hiking and absence of government approved rates’ list in shops.

In this connection, on the direction of deputy commissioner Lower Dir Aun Haider Gondal, on Friday, the administration officers and District Food Controller (DFC), checked various bazaars in the district and took at least 87 inspection activities all over the district. The authorities lodged FIRs against violators, while at least 8000 rupees each fine imposed on shopkeepers who were involved in illegal price hiking.
