District Badin Protest by Youth Against Ignoring Merit in Government Appointments

In Talhar, a group of young people took to the streets in front of the press club today to express their frustration over alleged corruption and the overlooking of merit in job appointments in Badin district. The protesters alleged that individuals are being appointed to positions from grade one to four based on connections rather than qualifications.

The protesters, including Rabnawaz Junejo, Shoaib Kumbhar, Muhammad Hassan Talpur, Zeeshan Detho, and Naeem Junejo, expressed concern that candidates who participated in job interviews from 2021 to 2023 are still waiting for their offer letters. According to them, this is evidence of the Sindh government’s failure to maintain integrity in the recruitment process.

According to the protesters, certain individuals have been given preference in staff selection, while eligible and capable individuals have been overlooked. This has compelled them to request the Chief Minister of Sindh to cancel all current job appointments and ensure that future recruitments are fair and based on merit.
