(Efforts underway to improve socio-economic position of tribal people: PA told)

ISLAMABAD: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly was informed on Tuesday that the government has spent more than ninety-five billion rupees on rehabilitation of infrastructure and development of merged tribal districts.

Responding to various questions of opposition benches during Question Hours, Minister for Law, Akbar Ayub Khan said that efforts are underway to improve the socio economic position of tribal people.

In his ruling, the Speaker urged Ulema and other segments of society to play their due role for eradication of polio. Later, the session was adjourned till Friday at 02:00 pm.
