Eighteen terrorists allegedly linked to an India-sponsored militant group have been eliminated in major counter-terrorism operations in Balochistan, prompting Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani to accuse India of orchestrating subversive activities inside Pakistan.
In a statement issued by the Senate Secretariat on Thursday, Gilani lauded the successful security missions carried out in the Quetta and Kech districts, which neutralized operatives from the group ‘Fitna al Hindustan.’
The Chairman congratulated the “valiant personnel” of the armed forces for their professionalism and courage, calling them the ‘pride of the nation.’ He said the operations in the Chiltan Mountains and Bulaida reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security establishment is fully committed to eradicating the menace of terrorism.
Gilani asserted that the recovery of a large cache of weapons, explosives, and ammunition from the militants “clearly pointed to India’s involvement in subversive activities inside Pakistan.”
He emphasized that such hostile conspiracies could not weaken national resolve but instead reinforced the country’s determination to root out insurgency and external interference. The success of these missions, he added, reflected the effectiveness of the ongoing counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam (Resolve for Stability).
Paying rich tribute to the martyrs, the Senate Chairman said their sacrifices would remain a lasting source of inspiration for the entire nation. He reaffirmed that the populace and the armed forces stand united in their mission to ensure lasting peace and stability.
‘No foreign or India-backed terrorist network will be allowed to operate on Pakistan’s soil,’ Gilani declared, vowing that every hostile plot against the country would be foiled to safeguard Pakistan’s peace and prosperity.
