Farmer found hanged from tree near Tharu Shah

The death of a farmer in village Molhan within the jurisdiction of Tharu Shah police remits has raised suspicions of either suicide or murder.

According to a report on Friday, the body of Khadam Hussain Jiskani was found hanging from a tree in the vicinity of his rice fields, where he was reportedly sleeping when the incident occurred.

Family members alleged that Hussain was strangled to death while asleep at his field’s camp, and that an attempt was made to disguise the murder as a suicide.

Sources indicated that the area is embroiled in a land dispute between two local landlords, fueling speculation that Hussain’s death may be linked to this ongoing conflict.

Police, however, initially treated the case as a suicide, though they have sent the body for a post-mortem examination. Authorities are awaiting the autopsy report to determine the exact cause of death, with further investigations underway.
