A resident of Quetta today publicly declared that he and his family will sever all ties with his eldest son, who has been missing for several months, if the young man is discovered to have any links with armed organisations.
Addressing the media at the Quetta Press Club, Lakmir Khan Shahwani, a resident of Kachi Baig on Sariab Road, identified his missing son as Rashid Khan Shahwani.
Mr Shahwani explained that his son departed from the family home a few months ago. He stated that the family had made considerable efforts to locate him but had so far found no trace of his whereabouts.
Emphasising his family’s position, he reiterated the disavowal: “If he is found to be connected to any banned armed organisations, neither I nor my family will have any connection with him.”
