A fire broke out in a dense web of wires on a pedestrian bridge on the busy Sharea Faisal, prompting law enforcement personnel to take immediate action, attempting to extinguish the blaze on a self-help basis.

The incident occurred on a footbridge located near the Fauzia Wahab Flyover, a crucial thoroughfare for the city’s traffic. The fire was caused by the large number of cables laid on the bridge, which quickly became engulfed in flames.

At the scene, a Rangers official was seen making strenuous efforts to control the fire. Later, a traffic police officer also joined him to assist in managing the emergency situation.

According to reports, the personnel are extinguishing the fire using equipment brought from nearby offices, indicating an immediate effort to control the situation and prevent further damage.

It is believed that the cause of the fire is the presence of numerous exposed electrical wires on the overpass.
