Former Balochistan CM Rejects Mastung’s Separation from Kalat Division

Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani, the Chief of Sarawan and a former chief minister of Balochistan, today strongly condemned the administrative decision to detach Mastung from the Kalat Division, branding the move an unacceptable violation of historical precedent and public will.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the former chief minister emphasised that Mastung has historically held a pivotal and central role within the Kalat state. He asserted that its deep-rooted political, cultural, and administrative importance cannot be disregarded.

The prominent leader remarked that such a reorganisation not only clashes with historical attachments and the affiliations of the populace but was also executed without any consultation with local residents. He characterised this lack of engagement as an action that deeply wounds public sentiments.

Nawab Aslam Raisani issued a clear warning, stating that any such step would not be tolerated by the people. He called upon the relevant authorities to immediately reverse their course and prioritise the opinions of the local community before implementing any administrative changes.
