SHIKARPUR: Four people, including three women were killed and 11 others injured in a traffic accident on Shikarpur-Larkana section of Indus Highway within the jurisdiction of Dakhan police station on Monday.
According to a PPI report, a speeding wagon going from Kandhkot to Larkana went out of driver’s control when its one of the tyres burst and overturned on the highway near the Thariri bus stop in Garhiyaseen taluka.
As a result, three women and driver Zameer Ahmed Naseerani died while 11 people received serious injuries.
The three women identified as Husna, Samina, and Ghulam Fatima, belonging to Odho community, died during treatment, area police confirmed.
The injured were rushed to a Larkana hospital for medical treatment. Four of the injured passengers were in precarious condition.
The injured were identified as Afroz Khatoon, Jumman Khatoon, Zahida, Mumtaz Ali Ghunjo, Yaseen Shah, Abdul Aziz Sheikh and others
Area police took the ill-fated wagon in their custody and started an investigation into the incident.
