SHIKARPUR: Four persons were killed in an armed clash between two rival groups of Jatoi community in village Bakht Ali Jatoi situated in katcha area in the jurisdiction of Rustam police station on Thursday.
According to a report, the two rival groups of Atrani Jatoi and Kamalani Jatoi communities attacked each other with automatic weapons. As a result of crossfire, four persons, including Raham Ali Atrani Jatoi, Lal Khan Kamalani Jatoi, Sono Khan Kamalani Jatoi and Saeendad lost their lives on the spot.
The cause behind the deadly clash was stated to be an ongoing old enmity developed between the Kamalani and Atrani groups over honour killing, area police added. No FIR was registered till late evening. It may be noted that more than 40 precious lives, including four women and three children, have lost lives so far in this ongoing dispute.
