Four tourists lost their lives and one was injured in a road accident near Paras in Kaghan Valley, police said on Sunday.
According to preliminary reports, the tourists’ vehicle met with an accident this afternoon on the Mansehra-Naran road at the tourist spot of Paras. The victims were tourists from Sialkot, Punjab.
The vehicle, carrying visitors who had come to enjoy the scenic valleys of Kaghan and Naran, plunged into a deep ravine near Paras. Four tourists died on the spot, while one other injured.
Local residents, volunteers, rescue personnel, and police took part in the rescue operation. The victims were recovered from the ravine and the bodies were subsequently shifted for further formalities.
