Police on Monday claimed to have busted a gang of motorcycle thieves in Mirpurkhas and recovered six stolen bikes and a pistol from their possession.
According to a Mirpurkhas police report, the arrests were made following orders from SSP Mirpurkhas Shabbir Ahmed Sethar, who directed a crackdown on criminal activity in the area. SHO Gharibabad Inspector Faisal Shafi Memon led the operation that resulted in the arrest of Farhan Shah, Saabir Ali, and Muhammad Arif,
The suspects are alleged to be part of an inter-district gang involved in motorcycle thefts across Mirpurkhas, Badin, Umerkot, and other districts, the police said. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway, the police said.
