A highlevel meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar focused on reviving Pakistan’s declining national hockey program. The meeting emphasized the urgent need for renewed focus and investment in the sport.
The summit included the Federal Minister for InterProvincial Coordination, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Secretary InterProvincial Coordination, Director General Pakistan Sports Board, President Pakistan Hockey Federation, and senior representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Overseas Pakistanis.
Discussions focused on strengthening organizational structures, implementing longterm development strategies, and revitalizing the sport across the country. Participants acknowledged hockey’s status as Pakistan’s national sport.
Senator Dar reiterated the government’s commitment to promoting the game both domestically and internationally.
