Grand Health Alliance on Thursday called on the authorities to provide free of cost healthcare facilities to the people in government hospitals of the province, recruit staff, including doctors on permanent basis instead of on adhoc and contract basis, stop privatisation of government hospitals, start construction work of Loralai Medical College, Jhalawan Medical College and hospitals in the mentioned medical colleges.

These and similar other demands were made in the protest demonstration held outside Quetta Press Club under the aegis of Grand Health Alliance.

Giving 10 day ultimatum to the authorities for addressing all the demands of Grand Health Alliance, speakers said that if demands were not entertained within ten day period, protest movement would be started. Protest demonstration was addressed by Chairman, Health Grand Alliance, Dr. Bihar Shah and others.

Earlier, a protest rally under the auspices of Grand Health Alliance was taken out from Sandeman Provincial Hospital Quetta. Chanting slogans in support of their demands, protesters marched through different roads of Quetta city and reached Quetta Press Club where a protest demonstration was held.
