LARKANA: On the call of Grand Health Alliance (GHA), doctors and paramedics boycotted all four OPD duties on fourth consecutive day for two hours of the largest tertiary care Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) of rural Sindh due to which poverty-stricken patients suffered very badly who reach from far flung remote areas of many downtrodden districts apart from locals.
Paramedics of the CMCH held a large protest demonstration outside the main OPD Block which was participated by Young Doctors Association, Young Consultants Association and Young Nursing Association.
While addressing the participants, Dr. Hashim Bughio, Shahi Khan Jagirani, Qasim Jiskani, Ghulam Hussain Langah, Kamil Shaikh and others said that top bureaucrats of health department and top PPP leadership had made commitments with the health department employees which have not yet been materialized for which they feel very sorry.
They said that they have still been deprived of risk allowance, time scale, service structure, utility allowance and other legal demands. They said that no notification of these demands has so far been issued which is unjust despite assurances. They urged the higher Sindh authorities to accept their just demands and issue notification without further loss of time.
