Khushab: A groom among three persons were killed and eight other persons of a marriage party, including bride, injured in a traffic accident on Sargodha Road near Khushab on Sunday.
According to rescue sources, a collision occurred between a trolley and a van in which the groom and two others, including his sister-in-law, died on the spot. The groom was identified as Umar Farooq belonging to Khushab while the bride belonged to Mandi Bahauddin.
The marriage party was going to Mandi Bahauddin after taking the bride from Khushab. The bodies and injured were shifted to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital for medico-legal formalities and treatment. A mourning atmosphere prevailed in the houses of the groom and the bride. Police have started a probe into the incident.
