Hamdard University won the Indoor Inter-University Cricket Tournament title on Tuesday, emerging as champions at the FitFlick Indoor Cricket Club. Demonstrating consistent excellence, Hamdard University remained undefeated throughout the competition, winning all four of their initial matches.
The tournament featured 15 teams representing various universities. Showcasing exceptional performance, Hamdard University defeated BZ in the quarter-final, chasing a target of 52 runs with a clear margin of 31 runs. In the semi-final, they successfully chased a target of 35 runs against MITE University in just 3.5 overs.
The final match against Iqra University was a testament to Hamdard’s dominant performance, as they secured the coveted trophy by successfully chasing the target of 21 runs in a mere 2.2 overs.
A celebratory atmosphere prevailed as Hamdard University’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Imran Amin, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the team on their spectacular victory. He praised the exceptional leadership of team captain Abdul Rehman Rao, the strategic acumen of Sports Director Shehryar Pasha, Coach Muhammad Zada, and Manager Hamza Yamin. Professor Amin expressed hope that the team would continue to maintain its high standards in future competitions.
