IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon inaugurated the first official boxing academy of the Sindh Police. The ceremony was held at Police Headquarters Garden South, Karachi, marking a significant milestone in promoting boxing talent within the law enforcement agency.

The academy will provide a world-class training environment under the leadership of renowned international boxing coach Karl Alexander. He will be assisted by national boxing experts to help elevate the skills of Sindh Police boxers to international standards.

The event, organized by the Sindh Police Sports Board, was attended by renowned boxers, including Sindh Police’s own Shaheer Afridi and Sameer, who are famous for their victory over an Indian rival. The gathering aimed to revive the golden era when Sindh Police boxers were globally recognized, as highlighted by the Chairman of the Sindh Police Sports Board.

IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon thanked the individuals who played a key role in this endeavor, including Pir Muhammad Shah and Khalil Nainital. Additional IG Karachi was also praised for his support in promoting sports activities.

At the end of the ceremony, boxing kits and certificates were distributed among 17 selected players of Sindh Police.
