QUETTA: Captain (Retd) Ghulam Azfar Mahesar, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Quetta, has said that security arrangements would be made on the eve of Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain in a such a way that chehlum procession could be culminated peacefully without creating problems for the citizens of the city.
These views were expressed by him while addressing the meeting of “Coordination Committee” held here on Monday in connection with the Chehlum-e-Hazrat Imam Hussain here on Monday.
He said, “Like every year, best arrangements will be made this year to ensure providing security to the chehlum procession in Quetta city”, adding that it would be recommended to the concerned authorities to suspend mobile signals at targeted towers so that routine life of the citizens in could not be disturbed. Meeting was attended by shia, sunni religious scholars, representatives of Anjuman – Tajiran, Balochistan and tribal elders.
