Former Governor Sindh, Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan, paid tribute to the sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain? and his companions in Karbala on the occasion of 10th Muharram. Dr. Khan emphasized that Imam Hussain’s? sacrifice was for the supremacy of truth. He termed Imam Hussain’s? steadfastness against oppression as an eternal lesson for humanity.
Dr. Ebad highlighted the clash between Imam Hussain?, the embodiment of Islamic values, and Yazid, who was unfamiliar with the teachings of the Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Muhammad ?. He described Karbala as the eternal battle between good and evil, where Imam Hussain’s? victory demonstrated the power of sacrifice, dignity, and honesty. Dr. Ebad urged everyone to embrace the message of Hussainiat and unite against past oppressions, especially Indian hostility.
He reiterated his commitment to following the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ? and respecting the sacrifice of his grandson on this sorrowful day. He pledged to strive for a strong, dignified, and principled Pakistan, drawing inspiration from the bravery of Hazrat Ali? and the legacy of Imam Hussain?. Dr. Ebad concluded by calling Hussainiat a guiding principle for the nation.
