A prisoner, Bashir alias Dev son of Usman Gundro, brought for a case hearing on Saturday in Thatta court, attempted to escape by jumping from the second floor. But he was caught by the police although he sustained injuries from the fall.
Bashir, who was transferred from Badin Jail, was in court in connection with case number 122/2025 under sections 3/4 of the Narcotics Ordinance. His daring escape attempt was foiled when he was caught in an injured state and taken to Civil Hospital Makli for medical aid.
The hospital’s medical staff did not declare Bashir’s injuries as severe, and his treatment is ongoing. This incident highlights the challenges faced by law enforcement agencies during legal proceedings.
