The leadership of Pasban-e-Watan Pakistan has blamed the nexus of Indian and Afghan intelligence for the recent terrorist attacks in Islamabad and Wana, alleging it is a conspiracy to destabilize the country by targeting its younger generation and judicial system.
, The organization’s leaders, including Chairman Sheikh Mukhtar Awan and Central President Muhammad Tahir Khokhar, on Wednesday strongly condemned the recent incidents, which they described as attacks on Pakistan’s national unity and future, leaving the nation in grief and anger.
The party stressed that these “nefarious designs” of enemy forces are meant to spread fear and chaos but will ultimately fail in the face of the resolve of the Pakistani people and state institutions.
Former minister Muhammad Tahir Khokhar specifically termed the attack on the cadet college in Wana and the suicide blast outside the G-11 courts in the capital as an assault on Pakistan’s educational foundation. He described the targeting of innocent students and teachers as an “extremely cowardly act” aimed at “shattering the dreams of our children”.
General Secretary Dr. Amjad Mehmood Bhatti and Vice President Noreen Noor said the blast near the Islamabad courts was not only against citizens but also a “heinous conspiracy” against the country’s civil and judicial structure. They blamed the “proxy networks of Indian-sponsored and Afghan-based terrorist organizations” for these attacks.
The leadership appealed for national unity, urging citizens to rise above political, linguistic, and ideological differences to foil the terrorists’ plans. They appealed to the public to remain vigilant, report any suspicious activity to law enforcement agencies, and counter negative propaganda.
Pasban-e-Watan Pakistan paid tribute to the Pak Army, Rangers, police, and other security agencies for their timely action and sacrifices, calling the bravery of the soldiers in ongoing operations against terrorism a source of national pride.
The leaders expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs, prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured, and reiterated the resolve that the nation stands “shoulder to shoulder” with its security forces.
The party finally demanded that the government immediately arrest the elements involved and award them “the strictest punishment according to the law” to provide justice and break the back of terrorism forever.
