QUETTA:Introducing un-elected person for the slot of Mayor Karachi was tantamount to robbing the rights of three crore people of Karachi. These views were expressed by speakers while addressing a protest demonstration held under the aegis of Jamaat-e-Islami, district Quetta on the call of Siraj-ul-Haq, Ameer, JI, Pakistan to protect the mandate of Karachi and against the undemocratic and unconstitutional designs of Sindh Government.

They alleged that mandate given to the scion of Karachi Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman was being snatched by the government of Pakistan People’s Party in connivance with the establishment.

“If anybody wants to see the real face of PPP, he should visit Larkana where donkeys are kept in schools”, they alleged, adding that the confidence of the people of Karachi reposed in JI ought to have been respected. They said that on June 15, 2023, it was being conspired to snatch the mandate of the mandate of the people of Karachi, adding that the people of Quetta would resist the undemocratic step of Sindh government.
