Jailed PTI Founder Undergoes Eye Procedure; Minister Asserts Perfect Health

The government has confirmed that the founding Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf underwent a minor medical procedure for his eyes, with the Information Minister asserting that the incarcerated political leader is in “perfectly healthy” condition.

According to a report by MOIB today, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, clarifying reports concerning the PTI founder’s health, stated that the intervention was brief and successful.

The minister detailed that eye specialists initially examined the political figure inside Adiala Jail and recommended he be taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad for a minor procedure.

On the specialists” advice, the PTI founder was transported to PIMS last Saturday night where his eyes were further examined.

Mr Tarar confirmed that a twenty-minute medical procedure was subsequently performed after receiving the PTI founder”s written consent, and he was later returned to Adiala Jail.

During the medical intervention, his vitals and all other signs were stable, the minister noted, reiterating that he is “absolutely healthy.”

Attaullah Tarar concluded by stating that providing medical access to any prisoner who feels unwell is standard protocol and is “completely in accordance with the rules.”
