JI deplores desecration of Holy Quran in Netherlands, Sweden

QUETTA: Jamaat Islami (JI), district Quetta demanded on Friday to expel the Ambassador of Sweden and boycott the products of Netherlands and Sweden.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) convened forthwith for recording strong protest to condemn the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden and Netherlands and called for the release Moulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman, leader of Haq Du Tehreek, Gwadar.

These demands were made in the protest demonstration held outside Quetta Press Club under the aegis of Jamaat Islami, district Quetta against the desecration of the Holy Quran in the Netherlands and Sweden and against the detention of Moulana Hudayat-ur-Rehman, leader of Haq Du Tehreek, Gwadar. Condemning the despicable act of desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden and Netherlands, they said that such vile acts were intolerable for the Muslim Ummah.

They alleged that Moulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman, leader of Haq Du Tehreek, Gwadar had illegally been detained, adding that Moulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman demanded for provision of pure drinking water for the residents of Gwadar putting an end to illegal trawling in the sea of Gwadar. They demanded to expel the Ambassador of Sweden, boycott the products of Sweden, Netherlands, get the meeting of the OIC convened forthwith for recording strong protest to condemn the desecration of the Holy Quran in Sweden and Netherlands and release Moulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman, leader of Haq Du Tehreek, Gwadar.

Protest demonstration was addressed by senior leader of Jamaat-e-Islami, Balochistan, Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman, Hafiz Nur Ali, Ameer, JI, district Quetta, Abdul Manan Hashmi, Abdul Majeed Sirbazi, Hafiz Abdullah, Bilal Khan Qalandrani, Engineer Adeel Khan, Hafiz Safiullah and Abdul Hakeem Nasar.
