Joint session of Parliament summoned today, President to address

President Asif Ali Zardari will address important national matters, including the stability of the democratic system and the supremacy of the constitution, in the joint session of Parliament summoned on Monday.

The Head of State has formally summoned the joint session of Parliament, a traditional ceremony held at the beginning of every parliamentary year.

In his address, the President is expected to speak on several important matters and outline the government’s priorities for the nation.

This upcoming address will be the ninth occasion President Zardari will address the joint session of both houses of Parliament, a significant milestone in his political career.

The convening of such a session is a constitutional requirement that marks the formal beginning of the legislative calendar each year.
