A senior political figure has issued a stark warning that public anger could intensify if the government continues to ignore the pressing demands of the Balochistan Grand Alliance (BGA), which he contends represent the aspirations of the people.
In a statement released on Friday, Mir Shams Kurd, the former central spokesman for the Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP), expressed full support for the BGA”s position. He highlighted the provincial administration”s regrettable failure to approve the Disparity Reduction Allowance (DRA) for government employees, despite the measure being endorsed by its own appointed committee.
Kurd asserted that widespread inflation, unemployment, and insecurity have made life exceedingly difficult for citizens. He argued these severe public issues necessitate the unification of diverse political and social forces on a single platform to address the growing crises effectively.
The former spokesman lamented that Balochistan is being deliberately neglected, a policy that is fostering a growing sense of deprivation among its populace. He affirmed that the JWP would persist in advocating for the protection of democratic values, constitutional rights, and public interests across every available forum.
