Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain, son of veteran politician Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, has ascended to the presidency of the Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF) without facing any opposition, in a move that places a key government official at the helm of the national sports body.

The appointment was made official through a notification released by the Election Commission of the Pakistan Sports Board, which confirmed that Mr. Hussain was elected without a contest. The announcement also declared Muhammad Sarwar Rana as the new Secretary General.

The federation’s new leadership team includes several other key appointments. Muhammad Sohail Ahmed Khan has been selected as the Finance Secretary, while Akhtar Abbas Khawaja will take on the role of Associate Secretary, and Rana Amjad Iqbal will serve as the Joint Secretary.

A new group of Executive Members was also named to the governing body. The members include Sultan Syed Shah, Humaira Latif, Faiza Batool, Fareeha Shabbir, and Saba Naz.

The official document confirming the completion of the federation’s electoral process was endorsed by Election Commissioner Waseem Majeed Malik and members Babar Sohail and Zohaib Hassan Gondal.
