In the Garden West area of Karachi today, a passerby was injured by a stray bullet, while in Liaquatabad, police arrested 2 robbers after an encounter.
Tariq, approximately 40 years old, was injured by a stray bullet near Shalimar Apartment, Fountain Chowk, Garden. He was immediately transferred to Civil Hospital Karachi for urgent medical care. The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently under investigation.
In a separate incident, there was an exchange of fire between law enforcement agencies and suspected robbers near Liaquatabad C-1 Area Cemetery at Taji Baba Shrine. As a result of this confrontation, two suspects were arrested, identified as Ehtisham and Aqib, who were taken into custody in an injured state. Authorities recovered two firearms, a quantity of ammunition, cash, mobile phones, and a motorcycle from the suspects. The injured were later transferred to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment. Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
