A young man injured in an alleged honor killing incident died at a private hospital in Sukkur on Monday.
According to a report, Wahid Bux, also known as Waheedoo Brohi, allegedly shot his wife, Shahida, over suspicions of Karo-Kari (honor killing) at their home. Later, he shot a young man, Lal Bux Shaikh, near Truck Ada in the Stuart Gunj police jurisdiction on Sunday night.
Lal was initially taken to RBUT Civil Hospital in Shikarpur but was later transferred to a Sukkur hospital due to his critical condition. He succumbed to his injuries at the hospital today.
The suspect, Wahid Bux, fled after the incident. Authorities suspect he acted on allegations of an illicit relationship between his wife and Lal Bux Shaikh.
No FIR could be registered as of late evening.
