An armed clash occurred today in Khairpur between members of the Phulpoto community over a land dispute, resulting in more than ten people being injured in the exchange of fire. The victims, all members of the Phulpoto community, have protested for the arrest of the attackers.
The incident took place on Wednesday near Union Council Gajo, where intense firing resulted in more than 10 people, including Muhammad Chhuttan Phulpoto, Adil Phulpoto, Jamal Din Phulpoto, Shahzado Phulpoto, Shoaib Phulpoto, Shahzeb Phulpoto, and Nizam Phulpoto, being severely injured. The attackers damaged local hotels and homes and managed to escape despite the presence of law enforcement agencies.
The injured have been transferred to Civil Hospital Khairpur in critical condition, where they are receiving treatment. Community leaders and victims, including Muhammad Suleman Phulpoto, Riaz Phulpoto, and Shahzeb Phulpoto, have protested and claimed that the attackers-Naseem Phulpoto, Sharif Phulpoto, Bablu Phulpoto, Raju Phulpoto, Ali Sher Phulpoto, Nisar Phulpoto, and Kamran Phulpoto-first targeted Janwari Goth and then opened fire near Faizabad.
Despite informing the police, the attackers evaded arrest. The protestors are demanding that the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Khairpur take decisive action against those responsible for this violent incident.
